Builta Starts SAM Labs

Builta Starts SAM Labs

Builta students at all grade levels are starting to learn how to code with SAM labs.  SAM labs is a district resource that teaches students coding through systems that require inputs and outputs. Students use Chromebooks to code and then connect to a variety of different outputs like LED lights, motors, sliders, and tilts.  This week first grade students coded a wheel to spin and kindergarten students coded a LED light to change colors by pushing on the space bar on their Chromebook.  Throughout the year students in K-5 will build upon what they are learning now to code more sophisticated systems.
