World Read Aloud Day Celebration

Reported by jill_defarno@ipsd.org on 2/2/18

Yesterday we celebrated World Read Aloud Day at Builta. The mission of World Read Aloud Day is to “strengthen kids and communities through the power of their own stories. Together, authoring a bold new world of equity and opportunity.” World Read Aloud Day is sponsored by a non-profit organization called LitWorld. We invited several retired Builta teachers to stop by and read to each class. Janet Gulick, Connie Meis, Reta Wood, and Judi Gawlik graciously accepted the invitation to come in and read the classes. The kids and staff were excited to see them and listen to the stories they read.
